The Book of Life

Facebook. Phew, I really don’t know where to begin. It has swept across this nation quicker than a plague, and I’ll be honest, I am infected. It allows millions of people to interact with one another once friendship becomes mutual (upon request). You can write to people on the wall, or in a message, and I think this is where I will spend the remainder of my focus for this post. What is the difference you say? Well, let me tell you what makes posting on someone’s wall different from writing him or her a message.

Posting on someone’s wall: this form of writing is typically informal and impersonal, although there are always some exceptions. But think about this, posting on the wall reveals who said what at exactly what time. There is no anonymity involved. Everyone who goes onto that person’s profile will see what has been posted. As the person who is posting on a wall, you have to take into account that the person you are writing to will not be the only individual to read your comments, thus, some discretion is usually upheld while posting on the wall. All in all, I believe what you would say in a Hallmark car is the kind of material expected to be seen on someone’s wall.

Sending someone a Message: here is where we move away from greeting cards and delve deep into the personal & private subject matters involving two people. Feelings, emotions, and all else people don’t want random others to see are what is sent via messaging.

In conclusion, this epic site allows people to communicate with one another and share their personalities in a way quicker and more efficient than previous methods.
