Surprise?

Earlier this week I decided to surprise my family by showing up at an unexpected time for my Thanksgiving Break. On Tuesday, when my mother called me to find out what time I would get home so she could coordinate her daily activities so that she could be home when I arrived, I told her that I would not be leaving Iowa State University until two-three in the afternoon on Friday. What she didn’t know, was that I had already made the plans to leave the campus around seven in the morning, so that I could make it home for lunch time and surprise my entire clan.

Now all of that sounds like a great idea, right? However, what I didn’t realize is
that when I got home earlier today, my ENTIRE family would not be at home to welcome me back for the week! To say the least, this is not what I was expecting at all for my first visit back home for over three months.

So, after getting dropped off at my house, I was forced to get inside via the back
door, yet another surprise for me. With my free time, I just perused through my home, walking from room to room while reacquainting myself with my surroundings that I had missed so much since coming to Iowa State.

It was not until I had laid down in my bed to take a nap that my family finally
arrived back at the house, where my EXPECTED family reunion carried on.
